ALUCOMATŪ & ALUCOMAT-FRŪ

SHEET DIMENSIONS - The maximum sheet widths are 1250 and 1500 with lengths of 1800 to 4000 readily available.  Other widths and lengths are available on request, however minimum quantities apply.

LAYING OUT SHEETS - Aluminium composite panels have what is referred to as a 'grain' which reflects light differently along one axis.  Generally this grain is aligned with the length of the sheet.  To avoid possible reflection differences (especially for metallic colours), it is recommended that panels be installed in the same (parallel) direction.  Hence it is necessary to maintain an operational maximum width in either the vertical or horizontal direction.

Perpendicular grains reflect the light differently

Parallel grains reflect the light in the same way.

COMPOSITION  -  ALUCOMATŪ & ALUCOMAT-FRŪ is composed of a CLASS 1 (BS476) thermoplastic- polyethylene core, or the non-combustible CLASS 0 (BS476) fire-rated compound core sandwiched between two aluminium alloy sheets through continuous heat & pressure process with the problem-free lamination adhesive foil. The surface is typically coil coated with KYNARŪ 500, or PPG DuranarŪ XL Plus PolyVinylidene DiFluoride (*PVDF) resin fluoropolymer coil coatings, also available in 3 layers, with peelable protective film on one surface and wash (service) coat on the reverse side.

ALUCOMATŪ Advantage & Features:

Lightweight yet very strong - Comes with proven strength-to-weight ratio surpassing solid aluminium. The load for external walls is reduced by 40% compare to solid aluminium sheet with the same rigidity, which is structurally safer. Being easy to ship and install, makes it highly cost-effective for the construction budgets.
Fire Retardant - Passed the American SAFETY/ CLASS A rating per ASTM E84 and the British per BS- 476, also Taiwanese CNS-6532 ,etc. It performed excellent in flame spread and smoke development.
Weather Durability and Corrosion Resistance-

10 Years Warranty on Coating - KynarŪ 500, or PPG DuranarŪ XL Plus Polyvinylidene Difluoride (PVDF) resin coil coatings, including pre- formulated standard colors and custom colors, are all providing you the promising consistency and evenness of the roller-coated paint quality. It has excellent UV characteristics, retains color after many years.

Good Thermal Insulation -
The PE or fire-rated core isolates the differential exterior temperature and moisture, which allow you to save on the utility bills.

Great Impact Resistant -
Viscoelastic high molecular resin comprises the core, preventing cracking or breaking, yet comes with the exceptional high stiffness and impact resistance.

Outstanding Sound Insulation -
Compared to the other materials with the same weight (steel, solid aluminium, tile, plywood, etc.), it has a greater sound transmission loss.

Superior Machinability -
It can be easily fixed to any types of cladding applications which consist many shape, angle, curve and radius by cutting, bending, curving, folding, fastening, welding, edge jointing & close-out, etc. All processes are possible by the ordinary metal and wood working machinery to shape the distinctive manifestation of your design concept.

Environmentally Friendly -
ALUCOMATŪ is fully recyclable, i.e. both the core material and the aluminium cover sheets can be re-melted and used for the production of new material. Ozone Friendly: Neither during the production of ALUCOMATŪ nor after being applied as a building cladding, are volatile propellant agents of type CFC set free. ALUCOMATŪ core material does not contain nitrogen, chlorine or sulfur. By means of its positive contribution to the protection of the environment, the choice of ALUCOMATŪ for a huge variety of projects is brilliant.
